Indiana Jones
Lauren and Caleb are in Louisville with her parents this week, so i decided that a movie in the theater would be appropriate to fight the loneliness. and what better movie that Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull.
i enjoyed the movie quite a bit. it stayed true to the series while doing a good job acknowledging the fact that indy has aged 20+ years. the story was fun, the acting was decent, and special effects were pretty good. there was definitely some cheesy parts, but i laughed out loud a few times, cringed at some of the gross stuff and even had a few "wow" moments. while good, i'd still say last crusade ranks above this one. not sure how it compares to raiders, but definitely better than temple of doom.
if you're looking for some good movie fun, i'd recommend checking this one out. not a must see, but it was pure summer movie goodness. i'd give it a 4 of 5 stars.

A Missed Opportunity
I was just getting ready for be, changing into my pajamas, when I realized I was wearing my beer boxers. I know, you're asking yourself, "Why do I care what boxers Troy is wearing?" And in that answer you'll find my missed opportunity...
This past Saturday, Lauren and I spent the day in Tacoma with our good friends Dustina and Sara. Dustin brews his own beer and for Christmas they gave me a day brewing a beer of my choice with the spoils as my gift. So while the girls and Caleb when to the park, the men brewed a Batogne Blonde Belgian Ale. It was awesome. So much so that I came away thinking two things: 1) I wish I had a home brew kit and 2) I wish I drank enough beer to make it worth having a home brew kit.
And so now, here I am in my beer boxers thinking, why did I wear some Plain Jane boxers on such an important day, when I could have been dressed in more approrpiate attire for the day's activities? Oi...what a waste!

Robo Blog 5
Counting the first and last post I did 6...did you notice the sweet 0-based comp-sci indexing I used to number them? :P however, I didn't make my <15 minute window as it looks like I came in right around 20 minutes (check the post times...yeah!). It was worth a try and I got a lot of catch up out there.
Maybe we should start a little Robo Blog competition...who can blog the most entries in the shortest amount of time...hmmmm...
Robo Blog 4- Mario Kart Wii
I got a gift card to Fry's (which I make weekly trips to with guys at work to bask in its geekdom) and bought Mario Kart Wii. It's great. Really, its just like the rest of the games in the series, but more chaotic and now i can drive with a wheel...sweet! One of the cool things I like about it is the retro tracks. 16 tracks are included from all of the previous version of the game, SNES, N64, DS, GCN. Way cool.
It also has online play so you can play against your friends. We tried this out last night with our friends Travis and Marcy and it was pretty sweet. We called each other and put our cell phones on speaker so we could laugh and talk throughout the race.
If you have a Wii, get Mario Kart Wii. If you have Mario Kart Wii, give me your friend number and I'll get you mine.
Robo Blog 3 - Juno
Last week for date nite, Lauren and I ordered Garlic Jim's (better than Pizza Pipeline, dare I say :o ) and rented Juno. It was a fun story of a 16 year old who gets pregnant and is trying to find a family for her baby during the nine months leading up to it. The movie was really funny. Felt a lot like napoleon dynamite to me, but with swearing and inappropriate humor.
I'd give it a 4 star with a rent for sure, but no need to buy.
